And be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid, That every Perfon or Perfons who fhall ^ nr- , , take out any fuch Licence as aforefaid, is and are hereby required to take out a frefli Licence ten om andrencwe^d e^very"* Days at leaft before the Expiration of twelve Calendar Months after the taking out the firft Licence, Yearj before he, fhe or they do prefume to trade in, vend or fell any Gold or Silver Plate, and in the fame Manner to renew every fuch Licence from Year to Year, paying down the like Sum of forty Shil- lings for each and every new or renewed Licence, at the Places and at the Times before menti- oned; and if any Perfon or Perfons fhail, after the faid fifth Day of jfuly one thoufand feven hun- dred and fifty-eight, prefume or offer to trade in, vend or fell any Gold, or Silver Plate, without firfl taking out fuch Licence, an i renewing the fame yearly, in Manner aforefaid, he, fhe or they on Penalty of forfeiting (hall refpeaively forfeit and lofe the Sum of twenty Pounds for each Offence. 20 1- V. Provided always, and be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid. That from and after Duty remitted on Plate the faid firft Day of yune one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-eight, no Duty fhall be paid for, or unfinlfhed and not fit for in refpea of, any Quantity of Silver Plate which hath been, or fhall be, entered upon the Books of Ufe before 1 June 1758, the Excife Officers, and which fhall not be finifhed and fit for Ufe before the faid firft Day of June ; but that the Perfons in whofe Names fuch Entries are or fhall be made, fhall be exonerated from all Duty upon fuch Plate, or fo much thereof, as they fhall produce to the Officers of Excife, after the faid Day, unftnifhed and n'ot fit for Ufe. VJ. And be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid. That all Perfons ufing the Trade of Perfons deemed Traders Publick Sale, or by Commiffion, fhall refpeaively be deemed Traders in, Sellers or Venders- of Gold or Silver Plate, within the Intent and Meaning of tliis Aa, and fhall take out a Licence for the fame. VII. Provided always. That Perfons in Partnerfhip, and carrying on their Trade or Bufinefs in in Copartner/hipo, where one Houfe, Shop or Tenement only, fhall not be obliged to take out more than one Licence in any Trade is carried on in one one Year, for the carrying on fuch Trade or Bufinefs ; and that no Licence for trading in, felling ^°"= °"^y> 0"^ Licence or vending Gold or Silver F^ate, fhall authorize and impower any Perfon or Perfons to whom the '^ '"'^'^'«"':' fame may be granted, and who ihall fell fuch Gold or Silver Plate in Shops, to trade in, fell or vend u*^^r"J° ^'^'^^ for the fuch Gold or Silver Plate, in any other Shop or Place, except in fuch Houfes or Places thereunto which it was°erant°ed belonging, wherein he, Pne or they fhall inhabit and dwell, at the Time of granting fuch Licence, or in Booths or Stalls at Fairs or Markets. VIII. And be it further enaaed by the Authority aforefaid.
