That on or before the thir- on 13 Nov. 1759. teenth Day of Ncvemb^r one thoufand kven hundred and fifty-nine, the faid Managers and Direc- tors fliall caufe the faid feveral Boxes, with all the Tickets therein, to be brought into the Guild- hall of the City of Lojidon^ fo that the fame may be there, and placed on a Tabic provided for that Method to be obfcrved Purpofe, by Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon of the fame Day, and fliall then and there feverally in drawing, &c, attend this Service, and caufe the two Boxes containing the faid Tickets, to be feverally taken ou^ of the other two Eoxos, in which they fliall have been locked up; and the Tickets or Lots in th'j refpective innermoft Boxes being, in the Prefence of the faid Managers and' Directors, or fuch of them as fiiall be then prefcnt, and of fuch Adventurers as will be there for the Satisfaction of them- fehcs, well fliaken and mingled in each Box diftin6lly ; feme one indificrcnt and fit Peifon, to be appointed and dire(fled by the faid Managers, or the major Part of them, or fuch of them as fhall be then prefent, fnall take out and draw one Ticket from the Box where the faid numbered Tickets fhall be as aforefaid put; and one other iudifFerent and fit Perfon to be appointed and dirctftcd in like Manner, fhall take out a Ticket or Lot from the Box where the faid nine thouiand three hun- dred and forty Furtunate, and fifty-fix thoufand fix hundred and fixty Blank Tickets fhall be pro- niilcuoudy put ns aforefaid ; and immediately both the Tickets fo drawn fhall be opened, and the Number, as well of the Fortunate as the Blank Ticket, fhall be named aloud; and if the Ticket taken or drawn from the Box containing the Fortunate and Blank Lots Ihall appear to be a i.laiik, then the numbered Ticket fo drawn with the faid Blank at the fame Tiipe drawn, Hiall both be put upon one File; and if the Ticket fo drawn or taken from the Bex containing the Fortunate and Blank Lots, fhall appear to be one of the Fortunate Tickets, then the Principal Sum written upon fucli Fortunate Ticket, whatfoever it be, fliall be entered by a Clerk, which the faid Managers, or the major Part of them as aforefaid, fhall employ and overfee for this Purpofe, into a Book to be kept for entering the Numbers coming up with the faid Fortunate Tickets, and the Principal Sums v/hereunto they ihall be intitled refpedively, and two of the laid Managers fhall let their Names as "Witneffcs to fuch Entries; and the faid Fortunate and numbered Tickets fo drawn together, (hall be put upon another File ; and fo the faid Drawing of the Tickets fhall continue, by taking one Ticket at a Time out of each Box, and with opening, na:ning aloud, and filing the fame, and by enterijig the Fortunate Lots in fuch Method as is before mentioned, until the v/hole Number of nine thoufand three hundred and forty fortunate Tickets, and one more fur the La!l drawn as afor^ /fter each Day's Draw- faid, fhall be compleatly drawn ; and as the fame cannot be perform d jn one Day's 'Fim.e, the faid in', the Boxes to be Managers or Directors ihall caufe the Boxes to be locked up and fcaled in Manner as aforefaid, and Ig.ked up and fealed, adjourn till the next Day, and fo from Day to Day, and every Day (except Siifidays^ Chrijiinas Day, and Fall Days) and then open the fame, and proceed as above, till the faid whole Number of nine thoufand three hundred and forty fortunate Tickets, and one more, fliall be compleatly drawn as aforefaid ; and afterwards the faid numbered Tickets fo drawn, with the fortunate Tickets drawn againft: the f.^mc, fhall be and remain in a ftrong Box locked up as albrefaid, and under the Cui'tody of the faid Managers, until they fhall take them out to examine, adjuii, and fettle the Property thereof. Tickets, Certificate or Ccrtifi.cates to be made forth by this A<5t, or made forth, or to be made T'ckets or Cmi&catcs. /"orth, upon any foimer Lottery A£}, or alter any the Numbers thereof, or utter, vend, barter, or difpofe of, or offer to difpofc of, any falfe, altered, forged or counterfeit Ticket or Tickets, Cer- tificate or Certificates, or fhall bring any forged or counterfeit Ticket or Certificate, or any Ticket cr Certificate the Number whereof is altered (knowing the fame to be fuch) to the faid Managers, rr any of them, or to the Cafhier or Accomptant General of the Bank of Eng/and for the Time being, or to any other Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, to the Intent to defraud his Majtfty, or any Contributor or Adventurer, or the Executors, Adminiftrators and Afligns, of any Contibutor or Felony, Adventurer upon this Ac ; that then every fuch Perfon or Perfons being thereof convicted indue Form of Law, fhall be adjudged a Felon, a;id fhall futier Death as in Cafes of Felony, without Be- nefit of Clergy : And the faid Managers or Diret'tors, or any two or more of them, are hereby au- thorifcd, rc<[uired and impowered, to caufe any Perfon or Perfons bringing or uttering fuch forged cr counterfeit 'I'ickec or Tickets, Certificate or Certificates as aforefaid, to be apprehended, and to commit him, her or them to his Majefty's Gaol oi Ncwgdte^ or to the common Gaol of the County ©r Place where fuch Perfon or Perfons fhall be fo apprehended, to be prgccedcd agaijft for the faid I'clouy according to Law.
