Provided alfo, and it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That at any Time upon Claufe of Redemption, . fix A-ionths Notice to be printed in the London Gazette^ and fixed upon the Royal Exchange in London^
and upon Repayment by Parliament of the faid Sum of lix millions fix hundred thoufand Pounds, or
^y Part thereof, by Payments not Icfs than five hundred thoufand Pounds at one Time, in fuch Manner as (hall be direded by any future Act or Atis of Parliament in that Behalf, and affo upon £ull Payment of all Arrearages of tht: faid Annuities, after the Rate of three Pounds />t;r Centum per Annum; then, and not till then, fuch and fo much of the Did Annuities as (fiall be attending on the Principal Sums fo paid off, fhall ceafe and determine, and be underltood to be redeemed, and that any Vote or Refolution of the Houfe of Commons, fignified by the Speaker in Writing, to be i-nferted in the. London Gazette, and affixed on the Royal Exchange in London as aforefaid, fhall be deenned and adjudged to be fufficient Notice within the Words and Pvleaning of this Act. Lll. And be it further enac^ted by the Authority aforefaid. That Books fhall be conftantly kept Transfer Books to Be by the faid Accomptant General for the Time being, wherein all Afiignments or Transfers of the |^ept by the Accomptant (aid Annuities, after the Rate of three Pounds per Centu?n per Annuin^ fhall, at all feafonable Times, ^""^'^ ' be entered and regiftered; which Entry fliall be conceived in proper Words for that Purpofe, and ^^^thod of transferring. Ihali be figned by the Parties making fuch Affignments or Transfers; or if fuch Parties be abfcnt, ^^^^^» by their refpedtive Attornies thereunto lawfully authorized in Writing under their Hands and Seals, to be attefted by two or more credible Witned'es; and that the feveral Perfons to whom fuch Tranf- fers fliall be made, fhall refpecSlively underwrite their Acceptance thereof; and that no other Method of afiigning and transferring the faid Annuities, or any Part thereof, or any Intereft therein, ftiall be good or available in Law. LIIL Provided always. LIV. Provided always, and be it enadted by the Authority aforefaid. Officers of the faid Governor and Company, fliall be for the Ufe and Benefit of the faid Governor and Company, and at their Difpofal only, LV. LVI. And be it further ena6ted.
