XIX. Provided alfo, and it is hereby ena6led by the Authority aforefaid. That out of the Monies to Managers, &.c, arife by the faid Contributions to the Lottery as aforefaid, or out of any other Aids or Supplies granted ^^ommilrio^nVrs^of or to be granted to his Majefty in this Seffion of Parliament, it fhall and may be lawful to and tor any t'°J"T!'e'afv"yOTt three or more of the Commiflioners of the Treafury now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or ^f the Lotury more of the Commiflioners of the Treafury for the Time being to reward the faid Managers or Directors, Money. and the Clerks and Officers to be employed by and under them, and any other Officers and Perfons that Ihall and may be any Ways employed in this Service, for their Labour and Pains', and alfo to difcharge all fuch incident Expences as fhall necefTarily attend the Execution of this A(St, in fuch Manner as any three or more of the CommifTioners of the Treafury, or the High Treafurer for the Time being, fhall from Time to Time think fit and reafonable in that Behalf j any Thing in this A6t contained to the con- trary notwithftanding. XX. And it is further ena£led by the Authority aforefaid. That no Perfon or Perfons in Great Britain Penalty of fellicg or Ireland fhall fell the Chance or Chances of any Ticket or Tickets in the faid Lottery, or any Share or ^^^""^^ /Z. Shares in any Ticket or Tickets in the faid Lottery for a Day, or Part of a Day, or for a longer Time, ^,3"^^ , jeff* lefs than the whole Time of drawing the Lottery then to come; or fhall receive any Money whatfoever. Time than the on Confideration of the Repayment of any Sum or Sums of Money in cafe any Ticket or Tickets in the drawing of" the ■ faid Lottery fhall prove fortunate; or fhall lay any Wager relating to the drawing of any Ticket or Lottery 5 Tickets in the faid Lottery, either as to the Time of fuch Ticket or Tickets being drawn, or whether or of laying V7a- fuch Ticket or Tickets be drawn fortunate or unfortunate j and all and every Perfon and Perfons who gers relative to fhall oflend in any of the aforefaid Matters, fhall forfeit and pay treble the Sum and Sums of Money which the Chance yi" fhall have been received by fuch Perfon and Perfons, contrary to the true Intent and Meaning of this A61, "^ ^'^' to be recovered by A6tion of Debt, Bill, Plaint or Information in any of his Majefty's Courts of Re- cord at JVeJlminJier or Dublin refpeitively, in which no EfToin, Proteftion, Privilege, or Wager of Lavy, whereto be or more than one Imparlance fhall be allowed; one Moiety thereof to be for theUfe of his Majefty, his fued (or. Heirs or Succeflbrs, and the other Moiety to be paid to the Perfon or Perfons who fhall fue for the lame; Application and every fuch Sale, Wager or Contrail:, and every agreement relating thereto, fhall be and is hereby thereof, declared to be null and void. XXI. And be it further enacSled by the Authority aforefaid. And to the End that the Payments upon the Tickets- to which any Prize or Benefit fliall be- After the Draw- long,-may be more eafily afcertained, fettled and adjufted, for the Perfons who fhall be and becom.e in- ingof theLot- titled thereunto; Be it further ena6ted by the Authority aforefaid, That as foon as conveniently may be tery, the Ticlcets after the Drawing of the faid Lottery fhall be completed and ended, all fuch Tickets, the Proprietors to be exchanged whereof fi,a]l be intitled to any Prize or Benefit, fhall be exchanged for Certificates to be figned by fuch f«r Certificate?, of the faid Managers or Directors, as fhall be appointed for that Purpofe, by any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury now or for the Time being, or the High Treafurer for the Time being. XXIV. And be it further enadted.
