Duty free, and may alfo be car- ried Coaftwife, under fuch Regulations as Corn of the Growth of this Kingdom is now allowed to be carried Coaftwife, at all Times before the faid twenty-fourth Day oi Augnjt ; any former Law, Statute, hdi or A«5ls of Parliament to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding. II. Provided always, and be it further ena<5led by the Authority aforefaid. That a due Entry fliall be Entrjtofcemade made in fuch Manner and Form as were ufed and pradifed before the making of this hi, of all Corn, thereof; Grain Meal, Bread, Bifcuit and Flour, which fhall be imported or brought into this Kingdom, before the faid twenty-fourth Day of Aiigujl at the Cuftomhoufe belonging to the Port into Which the fame (hall be imported or brought in, or otherwife in Default of making fuch Entry, fuch Corn, Grain, Meal, "^'^f^"'!*' '^* Bread ^ Bifcuit and Flour, (hall be liable and fubjed to fuch and the fame Duties, as were payable upon fui^je^ i^** Duty, the Importation thereof before the making of this Acl j any thing in this A£l contained to the contrary notwithftanding. III. And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Adion or Suit fhall be com- menced a^ainft any Perfon or Perfons, for any Thing done in Purfuance of this Adl, in that Part of Great Britain called England^ the Defendant or Defendants in any fuch A61:ion or Suit may plead the General General Iflue; IfTue and give this Aft and the Special Matter in Evidence, at any Trial to be had thereupon ; and that the fame was done in purfuance and by the Authority of this A(fl ; and if it fhall appear fo to have been done the Jury fhall find for the Defendant or Defendants ; and if the Plaintiff fhall be nonfuited, or dif- continue his Aftion, after the Defendant or Defendants fhall have appeared ; or if Judgment fliall be given upon any Verdict or Demurrer againft the Plaintiff, the Defendant or Defendants fhall and may re- cover treble Cofts, and have the like Remedy for the fame, as any Defendant or Defendants hath or have Treble Co(l«. in other Cafes by Law; and if fuch A6tion or Suit be commenced or profecuted in that Part of GVy^?
