A. D. 1760. Anno primo Georgii III. C. 17. 553 IJ. B. upon my corporal Oath, in the Prefence of Almighty God, folemnly fWear, proteft, and Fufiitivc"s Oath, declare. That I was a6tually on the twenty-fifth Da,y of O£tober one thoufand feven hundred and fixty, beyond the Seas in foreign Parts, videlicet, at and that the Schedule now delivered and by me fubfcribed, doth contain, to the beft of my Knowledge, Remembrance, and Belief, a full, juft, true and pcrfe<Sl Account and Difcovery of all the Real Eftate, Goods, EfFciSts, and other Perfonal Eftate, in any wife belonging to me ; and alfo of all fuch Debts as are to me owing, or to any Perfon or Perfons in Truft for me ; and of all the Securities and ContracSts whereby any Money now is, or will or may hereafter become payable, or whereby or wherefrom any Benefit or Advantage may accrue to me, or to my Ufe, or to any other Perfon or Perfons in Truft for me; and the Names and Places of Abode of the feveral Perfons from whom fuch Debts are due and owing; and of the Witnefles that can prove fuch Debts or Contrads, if any fuch there be ; and that neither I, nor any Perfon or Perfons in Truft for me, is or are feifed of any Real Eftate in Pofleffion, Reverfion, or Remainder, or Expectancy, or of any Perfonal Eftate of any Kind what- foever, other than what are in the faid Schedule contained, except my Wearing Apparel, and Bedding fOr myfelf and Family, my Working Tools, and neceflary Implements for my Occupation and Calling, not exceeding in the Whole the Value of ten Pounds; and that I have not, diredtly or indirectly, fold, leflened, or otherwife conveyed, difpofed of in Truft, or concealed, all or any Part of my Real Eftate, Money, Goods, Chattels, Stocks, Debts, Securities, Contracts, or other Perfonal Eftate whatfoever, whereby to fecure the fame, fo as to receive or expe<St any Profit or Advantage therefrom to myfelf or Family, or with any View, Intent, or Defign to defraud or deceive any Creditor or Creditors, to whom I am indebted in any wife howfoever, or prevent their recover- ing or attaining their refpeCtive Debts, So help me god: XXIII. An4 be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Gaoler or Keeper of Gaoler and Printer of any Prifon, or his Deputy or Deputies, fhall, without juft Caufe to be approved of by the Juftices !!^^ ^?f^"^' or other at fome General or Quarter Seflion of the Peace, or Adjournment thereof, within their x'efpedtive j^^^ Jf^^'jl^" j^gg^J, JurifdiClions, refufe or delay to bring any fuch Prifoner or Prifoners as aforefaid to any fuch General tions in this Aft, forfeit or Quarter Seflion, or fome Adjournment thereof, in order to his or her Difcharge, or ftiall negledt, lool. to the Prifoner?, refufe, or defignedly omit to infert, in any fuch Lift, the Name or Names of any fuch Prifoner or w"^^^'^^^^^'^^^^^^""^* Prifoners who was or were actually in Cuftody in his or their refpedive Gaol or Prifon on the faid twenty-fifth Day of OSiober one thoufand feven hundred and fixty, or fince ; or fhall negleCt or refufe to make out, fix up, or deliver fuch Lifts as aforefaid ; or if any fuch Gaoler or Keeper, or deputed Gaoler or Keeper, (hall negle£t or refufe to take any of the faid Oaths before mentioned, and hereby required to be taken by him ; or ftiall, upon any Account or Pretence whatfoever, take or receive more than the faid Sum of one Shilling herein before allowed for his or her Attendance in order to be difcharged of fuch Prifoner or Prifoners as aforefaid ; or ihall detain any fuch Prifoner after he or fhe ftiall be difcharged as aforefaid ; or if the Printer of the London Gazette, or other News Paper as afore- faid, (hall wilfully refufe or negleCl to infert therein the Name, Trade, Occupation, and laft Place of Abode of fuch Prifoner, on reafonable Requeft to him made for that Purpofe, and Tender of the Money hereby directed to be paid ; or ftiall take or receive any Fee or Gratuity more than two Pence as aforefaid for doing thereof; every fuch Gaoler and Keeper of fuch Prifon or Prifons, his Deputy or Deputies, and every fuch Printer as aforefaid, ftiall refpeCtively forfeit and pay to each Prifoner, in any fuch Cafe injured, the Sum of one hundred Pounds; which fliall and may be recovered, with treble Cofts of Suit, by Adlion of Debt, Bill, Plaint, or Information in any of the Courts of Record at Wejimtnfter, wherein no Eflbin, Prote<5tion, or Wager of Law, or more than one Imparlance, fhall be allowed. XXIV. And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That if any fuch Gaoler or Gaolers, Gaoler, conviaed of Per^ or Keeper, or any deputed Gaoler or Keeper of any Prifon, ftiall, in taking any of the afore- ["'y'/^?"^^'" soo'- ^^i* mentioned Oaths, forfwear or perjure himfelf, and ftiall thereof be lawfully convided, fuch Gaoler *"'^^"*^^"'^' *='• or Keeper, or deputed Gaoler or Keeper, of fuch Prifon or Prifons (over and above fuch Penalties as may be inflidted on Perfons conviCled of Perjury) fliall, upon every fuch Convidion, forfeit and pay the Sum of five hundred Pounds ; to be recovered, with full Cofts, by Bill, Plaint or Information, or Adion of Debt, in any of his Majefty's Courts of Record at JVeJlminJler, wherein no EflToin, Protedion, or Wager of Law fhall be allowed, by and in the Name of fuch Perfon or Perfons, his or their Executors and Adminiftrators, to whom any Aflignment or Conveyance, in purfuance of this Ad, fhdll he made of the Eftate and Efteds of fuch Prifoner orPrifoners ; and if no fuch Affignee One Moiety to go to the or Aflignees fhall be living, then in the Name or Names of any other Creditor or Creditors who ihall informer, and the other fue for the faid Penalties ; to be applied, one Moiety to the Informer or Informers, and the other towards (ati.fying the Moiety towards Satisfadion of th« Debts of fuch his Creditor or Creditors. Debts of the Creditor. XXV. And be it further enaded.
