Warrant aforefaid ; which Perfons fo ordered are hereby required to provide and furnifh the fame ac- cordingly for one Day's Journey, and no more : And in cafe the chief Conftables, Conftables, Ty- thingmen, Headboroughs, or other Officers, fhall be at any Charges for fuch Carriages, over and above what is fo received by them of his Majefty's faid Lieutenant, the faid Deputy Lieutenant, Colonel, or other chief Officer, as aforefaid, fuch Overplus fhall be borne by each County, Riding, or Place, where fuch additional Expence fhall be incurred, and be repaid to them without Fee or Re- ward by the Treafurer of each refpedive County, Riding, or Place, out of the publick Stock. ConftaHes, &c. neglea- CXXIV. And be it enaiSted, That if any fuch chief Conftable, Conftable, Tythingman, Head- ing their Duty in fur- borough, or Other Officer, fhall wilfully negledl or refufe to execute any fuch Warrant of any Juftice of niiliing fuch Carriages, ^^^ Peace ; or if any Perfon appointed by fuch chief Conftable, Conftable, Tythingman, Headborough, no7moTthanlcs"t'o° or Other Officer, to provide or furnifti any fuch Carriage and Man, fhall wilfuily negled or refufe to theUfeof the Hoor ; to provide the fame; every fuch Oftender fhall forfeit a Sum not exceeding forty Shillings, nor lefs than be levied by Diftrefs and twenty Shillings, to the Ufc of the Poor of the Parifh, Tything, or Place, where fuch Offence i>*«' fliall be committed : And every fuch OfFence fhall and may be heard and determined by two Juftices of the Peace within the County, Riding, or Place, where fuch Offence fliall be committed ; which Juftices fhall, by Warrant under their Hands and Seals, caufe the faid Penalty to be levied by Diftrefs, and Sale of the Oftendcr's Goods and Chatties, rendering the Overplus (if any) on Demand, after deducting the Charges of f^ch Diftrefs and Sale to fuch Offender, upon whom fuch Diftrefs fhall have been made as aforefaid.
