D. 1762. faul low LanJs and Fens with any Sum or Sums of Money for paying the yearly Taxes to be laid upon the faid low Lands and Fens, as well for the private as the publiclc Works of Drainage to be done in purfuance of this A(Sl ; and alfo fuch further Sum or Sums of Money, as (hall from Time to Tiir.e be by him, her or them, paid for the Intereft thereof, until the next General Qiiarter Day, after the general Works of Drainage fhall be complcated to Stamp Encl^ and fhall be fo determined to be by the faid General Commiflioners for the General Works of Drainage, or any feven or more of them, which Determination they, or any feven or more of them, are hereby required to make, when they fhali think the faid Works are compleated; and for fecuring the Repayment of fuch Sum and Sums of Money, with Intered for the fame to granc, charge, mortgage, leafe or demife, or otherwife fubjed the faid low Lands and Fens, or any Part or Parcel thereof, unto fuch Perfon ox Perfons 2S fhall advance and lend the fame for any Term or Number of Years, fo as fuch Grant, Charge, Mortgage, Leafe or Demife, be made with a Provifo or Condition to ccafe and be void, dr with an exprefs Truft to be furrendered upon the Repayment of the feveral Sums of Money rcfpcc - tively fecurcd as aforefaid, on a certain Day in fuch Mortgage or other Security to be for that Pur- pofe named, not exceeding one Year from the Date of fuch Mortgage or other Security ; and every fuch Grant, Charge, Mortgage, Leafe or Demife, fo to be made in purfuance of this A(5t, fh^U be good, valid and effectual in the Law for the Purpofes thereby intended, notwithftanding the Want of leg?l Title in the faid Tenants in Tail or Tenants for Life, his, her or their Truftee or Tru- ftees, Guarc'ian or Guardians, any Settlement or Settlements, Will or Wills, Truft, Ufe, Re- mainder, Limitation or other prior or former Incumbrances of or concerning the fame low Lands and Fens, or any Part or Parts thereof then in being, or capable of taking Effedl, to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding. That from and after the next General Quarter Day after the fard Ge- neral Commiflioners, or any feven or more of them, (liall have determined that the general Works- of Drainage are compleated to Stamp End as aforefaid, that then and from thenceforth the Irt- tereft of the Money fo borrowed to pay the faid yearly Taxes, and fuch Intereft thereof as afore- faid, fhall be paid and kept down by the Perfon or Pcribns, who, for the Time being, fhall be in PoflefEon of the faid low Lands and Fens, or any Part or Parts thereof, fo to be charged with fuch Money as aforefaid. Regular Accounts of LXXIV. And be it further enadted. That regular Accounts fliall be kept (by fuch Perfon or Per- Payment, &c. to be kept, fons, and in fuch ATanner, as the faid General CommifTioners, or any five or more of them, fliall m that Behalf order, dire£t or appoint) of the Colledtion, Receipts, Payments and Application cfall and every Sum and Sums of Money which fhall be raifed, colledted, received and paid for the Pur- pofes of the General Drainage; and fuch Accounts fhall be entered in proper Books, to be provided and kept for that Purpofe ; and Copies of all fuch Accounts ihall be delivered to the faid Commif- fioners, or any five or more of them, at their General Meeting on the firfl Tuejdoy in 'july in every Year, or oftner, if thereunto required by the faid CommifTioners, or any five or more of them; and fo much and fuch Parts of the faid Accounts as fhall be approved of by the major Part of the Com- mifTioners prefcnt at fuch Meetings, fhall be figned and allowed by them; and Duplicates of the Accounts fo allowed fhall be fairly entered in two Books, one to be kept by the General Cora- mifTioners or their Treafurer, and the other by the Clerk to tlie faid Commilfioners ; and^ the faid Books fhall be produced at every Meeting of the faid Co:r.mifTioncrs ; and all Ptrfons chargeable with the Taxes to be levied by virtue of this AtSt fhall be at Liberty at all Times to infped fuch Books of Accounts, paying one Shilling for every Infpe£tion, and at their own Charge to take Copies of any Part thereof. Money in Treafuicrs LXXV. And be it further enaded. That in cafe it fliall at any Time appear, on paiTing the Ac- Hands, not wanted for counts of the Treafurer or Treafurers, that any Part of the Money in his Hands will not at aay the Work?, maybe Time from thenceforth for the Space of fix Months be wanted or necefiary to be ifTued or appJieiJ ^ placed out on Securities, fg^ ^^ Purpofes of the general Drainage ; then and in fuch Cafe, and from Time to Time, and as often as it fhall fo happen, it fhall and may be lawful to and for fucli Treafurer or Treafurers, by and with the Direction of the faid General Commiflioners, or any five or niore of them, to place out fuch Sum and Sums of Money refpedively, on Government or real Security, at Intereft, in the Name of fuch Treafurer or Treafurers for the Time being; and which principal Money fo to be placed out, and the Intereft attending the fame, fhall be ifiued, paid, applied and difpofed of, imder the Di- rection of the faid General CommifTioners, or any five or more of them, for the Purpofes of this AdK No Order of General LXXV I.
