MASQUERADERS.
Spurs upon the tiny feet,
Cuirass, helmet, all complete—
Saw you ever aught so neat?
Little brothers in disguise,
Peering forth with curious eyes,
Quaintly humble, quaintly wise;
Plumy pennons half unfurled,
Filmy aigrettes lightly curled—
O, this marvellous, magic world!
