102 told him to go there and he would hear all about it. Joyfully he went, but, alas! it was an Unitarian place of worship, where he heard of the man Christ, but not the incarnate God. He did not want the Christian's man, who had paid the debt, but the Christian's God who had paid the debt, and no one else would answer. Disappointed and heart-sick, he again set out on his melancholy way, with his inquiry ever on his lips. He met a gen- tleman; he asked him if he did not know the Christian's God who paid the debt.
