191 I stopped to think and look around me, and I felt great. anxiety and trouble. I could not see the dog anywhere; but when I had looked about for some time, I saw a man in the yard, and told him I was afraid the dog would jump out and bite me if I tried to come by. He told me not to be frightened, for he would mind the dog, and keep him from doing me any harm.
