THE FOUR FOLD LIFE

II. SOCIAL

All:
No man liveth unto himself.
Let me live in a house by the side of the road,
And be a friend to man.

Leader:
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their
labor.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is
alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a three-
fold cord is not quickly broken.

Comrades, Known in Marches Many
(SARDIS 8,8,8,7)
Miles O'Reilly Arranged from Beethoven, 1770-1827

  1. Comrades known in marches many, Comrades tried in dangers many,
Comrades, bound by memories many, Brothers ever let us be.
  2. Wounds or sickness may divide us, Marching orders may divide us,
But, whatever fate betide us, brothers of the heart are we. A-men

All:
Entreat me not to leave thee,
And to return from following after thee:
For Whither Thou Goest, I will go;
And where thou lodgest, I will lodge:
Thy people shall be my people,
And thy god my god:
Where thoud diest I will die,
And there will I be buried:
The lord do so to me, and more also,
If aught but death part thee and men.
