The historical data about this Order (Plate 95, No. 3) are imperfect. 1t is worn round the neck, and its degree seems to be estimated by the number and value of the precious stones with which it is adorned.
On the Bey's visit to France in 1846, he distributed several, of the value averaging from 10,000 to 30,000 francs.
