turies. At length this was accomplished. Among the Cicilian antiquities discovered in Syria, and recently brought to this country by Mr. W. B. Barker, is the portion of a figure playing upon a musical instrument of singular curiosity and interest.^[1] This instrument, of which I have here a drawing, forms a connecting link between the pipes of Pan and the organ.
