This species (Agaricus Campestris) is distinguishable from all others, by its fine white fleshy head, the red colour of the gills, and by its imparting an agreeable Mushroom flavour. As the plant becomes large, the gills assume a blackish red without, retaining however internally its fleshy colour, by which it always shews itself to be the true sort.
