7.—(1) Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act, 1972 shall apply—
(a) to signs of the type shown in any of the diagrams 601.1, 602, 603, 606, 610, 616 and 649.1 and to the sign of the type shown in diagram 602 when used in combination with that shown in diagram 602.1,
(b) to the red signal when shown by the light signals prescribed by Regulation 31, by Regulation 31 as varied by Regulation 32, or by Regulation 33,
(c) to the road marking shown in diagram 1013.1 insofar as that marking conveys the requirements specified in Regulation 23(2),
(d) until the 31st December 1982 inclusive of that date, to any sign which in accordance with Regulation 3(2) is treated as if prescribed by these Regulations until that date, if it is a sign or the type shown in the diagram numbered 601 in Schedule 1 to the Regulations of 1964.
(e) until the 31st December 1989 inclusive of that date, to any sign which in accordance with Regulation 3(2) is treated as it prescribed by these Regulations until that date, if it is a sign of the type shown in the diagram numbered 649 in Schedule 1 in the Regulations of 1975, and
(f) to any sign which in accordance with Regulation 3(1) is treated as if prescribed by these Regulations, if it is a road marking of the type shown in the diagram numbered 1013 in Schedule 2 to the Regulations of 1964 insofar as that marking conveys the requirements specified in Regulation 23(2) thereof.
(2) The signs specified hereby for the purposes or the paragraph appearing in column 5 of Part I or Schedule 4 to the said Act or 1972 in relation to section 22 thereof, are:—
(a) the sign shown in the diagram numbered 601.1,
(b) the sign shown in the diagram numbered 649.1,
(c) the red signal when shown by light signals prescribed by Regulation 31, by Regulation 31 as varied by Regulation 32, or by Regulation 33,
(d) the road marking shown in the diagram numbered 1013.1 in so far as that marking conveys the requirements specified in Regulation 23(2),
(e) until the 31st December 1982 inclusive of that date, the sign shown in the diagram numbered 601 in Schedule 1 to the regulations of 1964, which in accordance with Regulation 3(2) is treated as if prescribed by these Regulations until that date,
(f) until the 31st December 1989 inclusive or that date, the sign shown in the diagram numbered 549 in Schedule 1 to the Regulations of 1964 which in accordance with Regulation 3(2) is treated as it prescribed by these Regulations until that date, and
(g) the road marking shown in the diagram numbered 1013 in schedule 2 to the Regulations of 1964 insofar as it conveys the requirements specified in Regulation 23(2) thereof which marking is in accordance with Regulation 3(2) treated as if prescribed by these Regulations.
