XI. —-An Act to Regulate the Disbursement of the Contingent Fund of the Senate Feb. 10, 1854. and for other purposes. ·i-———-···—- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Omagwess assembled, That the moneys which have Contingent been, or may hereafter be, appropriated for the compensation of members gg? °§.§°('f;“‘ and oincers, and for the contingent expenses of the Senate, shall be paid out ,2.i iécphwn at the Treasury on requisition drawn by the Secretary of the Senate, and S<·><=¤‘¤¤¤jy ¤¤¤·d¢ shall be kept, disbursed, and accounted for by him, according to law: and geiisming °m' the said Secretary shall be deemed a disbursing officer. Sec. 2. And be it fwrther enacted, That in lieu of the bond now B¤¤d<>Y S¢<=¤‘¤- required bylaw, to be given by the Secretary of the Senate, he shall my °f S°““t°‘ give bond to the United States, within ten days after the passage of this act, with one or more sureties, to be approved by the Comptroller of the '1`reasury, in the penal sum of "twenty thousand dollars, with condition for the faithful application and disbursement of such funds as may be drawn from the Treasury under this act, which bond shall be deposited in the ComptrolIer’s office; and it shall be the duty of each and every Secretary of the Senate, who may hereafter be chosen, to give bond, as aforesaid, within thirty days after he enters upon the duties of his oihee, and before making any requisition as aforesaid. Sec. 3.
