PUBLIC LAW 100-32—MAY 5, 1987 Whereas the month of May 1987 marks the fourth anniversary of the National Digestive Disease Education Program, a coordinated effort to educate the public and the health care community regarding the seriousness of digestive diseases, and to provide information relative to their treatment, prevention, and control: Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the month of May 1987 is designated as "National Digestive Diseases Awareness Month". The President is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe such month with appropriate programs and activities. Approved May 5, 1987.
