Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. ELIMINATION OF LIMITATION. (a) IN GENERAL.— Public Law 101-86 (13 U.S.C. 23 note) is amended by striking section 4. (b) TECHNICAL AND CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.— 13 USC 23 note. (1) Sections 2(b) and 3(b) of Public Law 101-86 are each amended— (A) by striking paragraph (2); (B) in paragraph (1) by striking "(1)", and by striking "; and" and inserting a period; and (C) by striking "section—" and inserting "section" and running in thereafter the text of paragraph (1) (as amended by subparagraph (B)). 13 USC 23 note. (2) Public Law 101-86 is amended by redesignating section 5 as section 4. 13 USC 23 note. SEC. 2. PRIOR SERVICE IN EXCESS OF 6 MONTHS NOT AFFECTED. Nothing in this Act shall be considered to make an exemption under section 2 or 3 of Public Law 101-86 applicable to any service performed before the date of enactment of this Act which was in excess of that allowable under section 4 of Public Law 101-86 (as then in effect).
