Resolved, (two thirds of the Senators present concurring,) That the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the articles of a treaty made and concluded at the council—gr0und on the Little Arkansas river, eight miles from the mouth of said river, in the State of Kansas, on the eighteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, by and between the Commissioners on the part of the United States, and the chiefs and headmen of the Kiowa tribe of Indians. Now, therefore, be it known that I, ANDREW JOHNSON, President of P¢‘0¤l¤i¤¤G· the United States of America, do, in pursuance of the advice andconsent of the Senate, as expressed in its resolution of the twenty-second of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, accept, ratify, and confirm the said treaty. In testimony whereof I have hereto signed my name and caused the seal of the United States to be adixed.
