Entries under table I.
1st. Under table No. I., the total
amount of the foreign postages due
on the unpaid correspondence, and
the amount of the claims on the
correspondence retransmitted, for
which credit will have to be given
to the despatching Office.
Entries under table II.
2nd. Under table No. II., the total amount of the postages, and, when necessary, the foreign fees for reg- istration, upon the paid correspond- ence, which will have to be cred- ited to the Office of destination, or to the furthest Office of the Union.
How indicated in table I.
4. The postages or claims to be entered in table No. I. shall be indi- cated upon each article, in blue pen- cil, at the lower left-hand corner of the address.
How indicated in table II.
5. The postage and fees to be brought to account under table No. II. shall be indicated on each article, in red pencil, at the lower left-hand corner of the address.
Entries in table III.
6. In table No. III. shall be en- tered, with such details as this table requires, the closed mails in transit which accompany the direct mails.
Entries in table IV.
7. The registered correspondence
shall be entered in table No. IV. of
the letter bill, with the following
details: the name of the office of
origin, the name of the addressee
and the place of destination, or
simply the name of the office of
origin and the number given to the
article at that office; the amount of
the postage and the foreign regis-
tration fees to be credited, when
necessary, to the Office of destina-
tion or the furthest Office of the
Union.
Special list of registered articles,
8. When the number of regis- tered articles usually sent from one office of exchange to another shall when required. require it, a special and separate list shall be used to take the place of table No. IV. of the letter bill.
Postages, how expressed.
9. The amount of postages, cred- its, and debits shall be expressed in francs and centimes.
