Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the *QQf,’;j,f,B”°”· Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the ` pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Patrick Breen, late a member of Company A, Twenty- first New York Infantry, and Company G, First United States Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month. Approved, July 7, 1898. CHAP. 596.-An Act Granting a panties to Cornelia M. Mason. July 7, 1898. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §°°}',';_}Q‘ M- ”“°°- Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the ` pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension _ laws, the name of Cornelia M. Mason, widow of John S. Mason, late brevet brigadier-general, United States Army, and pay her a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month. Bevan, stepfather of Edward L. Bowden, late private in Company G, First Maine Regiment Heavy Artillery Volunteers, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars a month. Approved, July 7, 1898. CHAP. 598.-An Act For the relief of P. F. Dundou, of San Francisco, California. July 7.1898. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America i n Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §,;`,,£{,‘{‘€,Q“· Treasury is hereby authorized to remit to P. F. Dundou, of San Fran— cisco, California, the penalty imposed under the contract for the construction of Grays Harbor Light, Washington; and the sum of two thousand nine hundred dollars is hereby appropriated for that purpose. Approved, July T, 1898. CHAP. 599.-An Act Granting a pension to Mary E. Kline. 4,, M J¤ly 7.1898- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the },Q*u*g;0*f,_Kl¤¤°- Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the ‘ pension roll the name of Mary E. Kline, helpless and dependent child of John Kline, late captain Company H, Thirteenth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry, aud pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.
