Hf;" Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Berdan Firearms MB¤rd¤¤tF,ir¤=6·¤· Manufacturing Company be, and the said company is hereby, authorized ,..$}Yf°° mug °m` to institute a suit in the Court of Claims against the United States and ,a§‘fl"gQlg'Q,j°';l,*j)Q,’r,°°,f, for the benefit of Mrs. Mary Kimball Berdan, the widow of Hiram Ber- Claims. dan, the inventor of certain devices described and claimed in a patent issued to the said company, dated March thirtietb, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, and numbered eighty-eight thousand four hundred and thirty-six; said suit to be instituted for the use by the United States of the said devices from March thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty- nine, to July twenty-sixth, eighteen hundred and eightyone; and the bar of the statute of limitations is hereby waived and the suit may be prosecuted to final judgment, as the suit might have been prosecuted if it had been instituted within six years from the time when, as is alleged, the said devieés were used by the United States.
