[Public, No. 78.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House 0 Re esentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled}; Thqt section twelve of the $‘§i""§1}“‘p, 1078, Act entitled "An Act to amend and consolidate the Acts respecting ’“¤°°‘*°°· copyright," approved March fo1u·th, nineteen hundred and nme, be, and the same IS hereby, amended so as to read as follows: "Sec. 12. That after copyright has been secured by publication D@‘°""°°°¤"“ of the work with the notice of copyright as provided in section nine ”%°£iS:lw·4959.p·¤58. of this Act, there shall be promptly deposited m the copyr$ht office or °m ‘ in the mail addressed to the register of co yrights, ashington, District of Columbia, two complete copies of the best edition thereof then published, or if the wor is by an author who is a citizen or 0n; ¤¤1{1gf1{gr§¤_g§ subject of a foreign state or nation and has been published in a {ages. Sec. 2.
