Louisiana and Texas facili tate in tersta te comm erce, i mprove the po stal se rvice, and pr ovide may bridge, be tween Vern on Par ish , La., for military and other purposes, the Louisiana Highway Commission and Newton County, and the State Highway Commission of Texas be, and are hereby, Tex . authorized to construct, maintain, and operate a free highway bridge and approaches thereto across the Sabine River, between Vernon Parish, Louisiana, and Newton County, Texas, at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, where Louisiana Highway Numbered 21 meets Texas Highway Numbered 45, in accordance with the pro- Construct ion . visions of an Act entitled "An Act to regulate the construction of Vol. 34, p . 84. bridges over navigable waters," approved March 23, 1906 . SEC . 2 . There is hereby conferred upon the Louisiana Highway estate, etc., tate to acquire real forlocationion, Commission, and the State Highway Commission of Texas all such approaches, etc . rights and powers to enter upon lands and to acquire, condemn, occupy, possess, and use real estate and other property needed for the location, construction, operation, and maintenance of such bridge and its appr oaches as are possessed by railroad corp orations for railroad purposes or by bridge corporations for bridge purposes in the State in which such real estate or other property is situated, upon making just compensation therefor, to be ascertained and paid Con demna tion pro . according to the laws of such State, and the proceedings therefor ceedings . shall be the same as in the condemnation or expropriation of prop- erty for public purposes in such State .

Amendme nt . SEC . 3 . The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved .

Former Act repealed . SEC . 4. The Act of Congress approved May 29, 1928, authorizing Ante, p . 976, repealed . the State of Louisiana and the State of Texas to construct a bridge across the Sabine River at or near Burr Ferry, Louisiana, is hereby repealed. R . 15098.1 the Lafayette National Park in the State of Maine and for change of name of IPublic, No. 667 .1 said park to t he Acadia National P ark . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary Park, itfe. of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized, in his discretion, to lZAccepta lands auth or- accept in behalf of the United States lands, easements, and buildings, donated for extension as may be donated for the extension of the Lafayette National Park, thereof. lying within the bounds of Hancock County within which the park is situated, together with such islands in Knox County adjoining, as liee to the east and south of the main ship channel through Penob- scot Bay, which complete the archipelago of which Mount Desert Island, whereon the park is situated, forms the dominant and largest unit .
