Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That from and District of Columbia. " SEC. 2 . The nurses' examining board shall be composed of five Nurses' examining members appointed by the Commissioners of the District of Colum- b Appointment, etc . b i a . Those persons who are mem bers of the nurses' examining board on June 30, 1929, shall continue to be members of the said board for the remainder of the terms for which they were appointed . The term of each member of said board shall be five years . All Terms of service . appointments shall be made so that the term of one member expires on the 30th day of June of each year . Each vacancy or unexpired term shall be filled by appointment from a list of . five nominees submitted to the Commissioners of the District of Columbia by the Qualifica tions . Graduate Nurses' Association of the District of Columbia . Each nominee shall have had not less than five years' experience in the profession of nursing, be a registered nurse registered in the District of Columbia, and a member of the Graduate Nurses' Association of the District of Columbia . The Graduate Nurses' Association of the District of Columbia shall make such nominations to the said commissioners . No member of said board shall enter upon the dis- Oath re quired . charge of her duties until she has taken oath faithfully and impar- tially to perform the same ; and the said commissioners may remove any member of said board for neglect of duty or for any just cause . " SEC. 3 . The nurses' examining board shall meet in the District organization of of Columbia between June 30, 1929, and July 15, 1929, and organize board . the board in accordance with the provisions of this Act, and annually there after shall meet i n the month of Apri l for the an nual o rganiz a- tion of the board . At each such organization meeting the board shall officers . elect from its members a president and a vice president, and it shall also appoint an executive secretary of the board, who shall not be a member of the board, but who shall possess the requirements neces- sary for membership in the board . The secretary-treasurer of the office of secretary- said board who is acting in that capacity on July 1, 1929, for the 1,19s er to cease July unex pired term c ommenc ing in April , 1929, shall cease to ho ld off ice as secretary-treasurer of the board on and after July 1, 1929 .
