Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, Th at the sum of $2,000 be, and the s ame hereby is, appropriated to aid the Grand Army of the Republic (Incorporated) in its Memorial Day services, May 30, 1928, and in the decoration of the graves of the Union soldiers, sailors, and marines with flags and flowers in the national cemeter ies in t he Distr ict of C olumbia and in t he Arlin gton Nat ional Cem et ery in Virginia . SEC. 2. That said fund shall be paid to the quartermaster of the Gra nd Army of the Republic, d epa rtm ent of the Po tom ac, for disbursement. Approved, May 9, 1928 . CHAP . 515 .-An Act To amend section 2 of an Act entitled "An Act to authorize an appropriation for the care, maintenance, and improvement of the buria l gro unds cont ainin g the rem ains of Za chary Tay lor, forme r Pr eside nt of the United States, and the memorial shaft erected to his memory, and for other p urpos es," appr oved Febru ary 2 4, 1 925 . Be it enacted by the Senate and Ho use of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That section 2 of an Act entitled "An Act to authorize an appropriation for the care, maintenance, and improvement of the burial grounds containing the remains of Zachary Taylor, former President of the United States, and th e mem orial shaft erected to his memor y, an d for other pur- poses," approved February 24, 1925, is hereby amended to read as foll ows " SEC. 2. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept, free of cost to the United States, fr om the State of Kentucky, and from any others having authority to donate the same, the la nd comprising the aforesaid burial grounds, and su ch other and additional land contiguous or adjacent thereto as in his judgment may be deemed advisable; and upon the conveyance to the United States of a valid, fee-simple title to said land or lands the Secretary of War is authorized and directed to establish thereon a national cemetery, to be known as the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery ."
