Res., No.45 .1 Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That in carry ing Granted easement ent on into effect existing legislation providing for the granting of an site for new public easement to the city of Duluth, Minnesota, for the use of lots 81 Ante, p . soo. and 83, in block 20, in exchange for the conveyance to the United States in fee simple of lots 86 and 88 in such block 20, as an addi- tion to the new Federal building site in said city, the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized, in his discretion, to accept a title to said lots 86 and 88, in block 20, subject to the reservation of all iron ore and other valuable minerals in and upon said land, with the right to explore for, mine and remove the same, required by section 638 of the General Statutes of Minnesota of 1923 . [Public, No . 422 .1 Be it e nacted by the Senate and House of Repres entatives of the Unite d State s o f America in Con gress assembl ed, That in case Chippewa Indians of numbered 1-1-76 heretofore filed in the Court of Claims under and Mcou rt tof claims, if in pursuance of an Act of Congress entitled "An Act authorizing the Jiagmont tnd favor .of Chippewa Indians of Minnesota to submit claims to the Court of whether payment be Claims," approved May 14, 1926 (Forty-fourth Statutes at Large, oRed from t s nd`~ page 555) , whe rein the Chipp ewa I ndia ns of Minn esot a are part ies Vol. 44, p . 555. plaintiff and the United States is party defendant, if the Court of Claims shall determine that the said Chippewa Indians are entitled to recover a judgment against the United States upon the cause of action therein set forth, the said court shall further determine whether such judgment, or any part thereof, shall be paid by the United States out of funds held by the United States in trust for the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians of Minnesota, and if the court shall so determine and said funds are found inadequate, then the unsatisfied portion of said judgment shall be paid by the United States, but in no event shall any part of the land of the Red Lake Resercao foned Laore Reservation be used in any way in payment thereof ; and the said bidden . Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians is hereby authorized, on the ize Att orn eys author- approval of this Act, to appear in said suit by their attorneys em- ployed in accordance with the provisions of existing law, and defend their rights in the matter.
