C;:;TarmstroBot (talk) relations with WHEREAS a Treaty between the United States of America and Preamble. the Republic of China to regulate tariff relations was concluded and signed by their respective Plenipotentiaries at Peiping on the twenty- fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, the original of which Trea~y, being in the English and Chinese languages, is word for word as follows: Contracting Powers. Plenipotentiaries. TREATY REGULATING TARIFF RELATIONS BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE REPUBLIC OF OHINA. The United States of America and the RepUblic of China, both being animated by an earnest desITe to maintain the good relations which happily subsist between the two countries, and wishing to extend and consolidate the commercial intercourse between them, have, for the purpose of negotiating a treaty designed to facilitate these objectsJ named sa their Plenipotentiaries:- The Presiaent of the United States of America: J. V. A. MacMurray! Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Pleni. potentiary of the Uruted States of America to China; and the Government Council of the Nationalist Government of the RepUblic of China: T. V.
