787 CHAP . 542 .-An Act To amend section 7 of Public Act Numbered 391, Seventieth Congress, approved May 15, 1928 . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives o f the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the time within which Luther Burbank, his heirs or successors in interest, must make payment and comply with the other provisions of the Act of Congress approved August 24, 1912, entitled "An Act to patent certain semiarid lands to Luther Burbank under certain con- ditions," be, and the same is hereby, extended until five years from the passage of this Act . CHAP . 544 .-An Act To confer full rights of citizenship upon the Cherokee [S.4050.1 Indians resident in the State of North Carolina, and f or other purposes . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That all noncitizen N ch erokee Indians, Cherokee Indians born within the territorial limits of the United citizenship, status of. States and resident in the State of North Carolina are hereby declared to be citizens of the United States and entitled to all the rights, privi leges, and i mmunit ies be longin g to su ch cit izens, inclu ding t he right of fr anchis e, pro vided they c an meet and c onform to th e educ a- tional and other tests imposed upon voters of the State of North Carolina, as a condition precedent to the exercise of such right of franchise .
