For the preservation of timber on Indian reservations and allot- ments other than the Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin, the education of Indians in the proper care of forests, and the gen- eral administration of forestry and grazing work, including fire prevention and payment of reasonable rewards for information leading to arrest and conviction of a person or persons setting forest fires in contravention of law on Indian lands . $197,000 : Pr ov id ed, That this appropri ation sha ll be ava ilable fo r the exp enses of administration of Indian forest lands from which timber is sold to the extent only that proceeds from the sales of timber from such lands are insufficient for that purpose .
