The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby construction . authorized to construct within the limits of the property so trans- ferred such building or buildings, appurtenances, and approaches thereto as he may deem adequate and suitable for the use of the Treasury Department as a depository, and for use in carrying out any other functions or duties of the Treasury Department

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled That sections 1 2 Appomattox Court >

Court House, Virginia ", approved June 18, 1930, are hereby amended to read as follows : " That when title to all the land, structures, and other property Establishment . within a distance of one and one-half miles from the Appomattox Court House site, Virginia, as shall be designated by the Secretary of the Interior in the exercise of his discretion as necessary or desirable for national-monument purposes, shall have been vested in the United States in fee simple, such area or areas shall be, and they a re hereb y, estab lished, dedicate d, and s et apar t as a p ublic mo n- ument for the benefit and enjoyment of the people and shall be known as the 'Appomattox Court House National Historical Monument .' " SEC. 2 . That there is hereby authorized to be appropriated the Appropriation au- tbori zed . sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to carry Post, p .1794 . out the provisions of this Act as amended hereby . " SEC . 3 . That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, Acquisition of land . authorized to accept donations of land and/or buildings, structures, and so forth, within the boundaries of said park as determined and fixed hereunder and donations of funds for the purchase and/or maintenance thereof : Provided, That he may acquire on behalf of the Pr oviso .
