Government of the United States of America by the Secretary General; 1 AND WHEREAS, in pursuance of Article 17 of the convention, the convention entered into effect on the ninetieth day following October 18, 1934, the date of the deposit of the ratification of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, that is to say on January 16, 1935; Now, THEREFORE, be it known that I, Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States of America, have caused the said con- vention to be made public to the end that the same and every article and clause thereof may be observed and fulfilled with good faith by the United States of America and the citizens thereof. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States of America to be affixed.
