Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Comp- troller General of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to credit the accounts of Martin F. Gettings, postmaster at Rahway, New Jersey, with the sum of $47,027.92, representing the amount of money and postage stamps lost in the burglary of the post office at Rahway, New Jersey, on January 21, 1938, such loss having resulted from no fault or negligence on the part of said postmaster, as determined by the Postmaster General under a provision in title 39, United States Code, section 49.
