[Public Law 10] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That paragraph IV of Veterans Regulation Numbered 10, as amended, is hereby amended by striking out the period at the end thereof and substitut- ing therefor a colon and the following: "World War II-Any person who served in the active military or naval service of the United States on or after December 7, 1941, and before the termination of hostilities in the present war as determined by proclamation of the President or by concurrent resolution of the Congress: Provided, That the term 'active military or naval service', as used herein, shall include active duty as a member of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, Women's Reserve of the Navy and Marine Corps, and the Women's Reserve of the Coast Guard." [CHAPTER 17] AN ACT Making appropriations to supply deficiencies in certain appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1943, and for prior fiscal years, to provide supple- mental appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1943, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not other- wise appropriated, to supply deficiencies in certain appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1943 and for prior fiscal years, to pro- vide supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1943, and for other purposes. TITLE I-GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS LEGISLATIVE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES For payment to the widow of Philip A. Bennett, late a Representa- tive from the State of Missouri, $10,000. Contingent Expenses: The unexpended balance of the appropria- tion "Contingent Expenses, House of Representatives, Air Mail Stamps, 1942', is hereby reappropriated, merged with, and made available for the purposes of the appropriation "Contingent Ex- penses, House of Representatives, Air Mail and Special Delivery Stamps, 1943". GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE Working capital and congressional printing and binding: For an additional amount for working capital and congressional printing and binding, fiscal year 1943, including the objects and subject to the conditions and limitations specified under this heading in the Legis- lative Branch Appropriation Act, 1943, and including an additional amount of $180,000 for the printing, binding, and distribution of the Federal Register in accordance with the Act approved July 26, 1935, as amended (44 U. S . C . 301317), $3,180,000: Provided, That of this sum $3,000,000 shall be returned to the Treasury as an unexpended balance not later than June 30, 1944. Veterans. 38 . S. C. note foil. §724.
