The Minister of War of the Republic of Guate- mala will grant to the officer de- tailed under this contract the as- similated rank of Brigadier Gen- eral for the duration of this con- tract, and the officer shall have precedence over all Guatemalan officers of the same rank. ARTICLE 9. The officer shall be governed by the disciplinary regu- lations of the United States Army. ARTICLE 10. The officer shall be responsible directly and solely to the Minister of War of the Re- public of Guatemala. ARTICLE 11. During the period this officer is detailed under this Agreement or any extension thereof, the Government of the Republic of Guatemala shall not engage the services of any person- nel of any other foreign govern- ment for the duties and purposes contemplated by this Agreement. ARTICLE 12. This officer shall not divulge nor by any means dis- close to any foreign government or to any person whatsoever any secret or confidential matter of which he may become cognizant as a natural consequence of his functions, or in any other way, it being understood that this requi- site honorably continues even after the expiration or cancelation of the present Agreement or ex- tension thereof. ARTICLE 13. During the entire duration of this Agreement, this officer shall be entitled to the benefits which the Regulations of the Guatemalan Army provide for officers of this rank in the Gua- temalan Army. 81077°-44 -PT . El Ministro de Guerra de la Republica de Guate- mala otorgara al oficial designado segdn este contrato, y durante la vigencia del mismo, el grado asimilado de General de Brigada, y el oficial tendra precedencia sobre todos los oficiales guate- maltecos del mismo grado. ARTICULO 9. El oficial se regira por los reglamentos de disciplina del Ejercito de los Estados Unidos. ARTICULO 10. El oficial sera sola y directamente responsable ante el Ministro de Guerra de la Repiblica de Guatemala. ARTfCULO 11. Durante el peri- odo en que el oficial preste servi- cios de conformidad con este Acuerdo o cualquiera pr6rroga del mismo, el Gobierno de la Repui- blica de Guatemala no empleara los servicios del personal de ningdn otro gobierno extranjero para los deberes y prop6sitos de que trata este Acuerdo. ARTfCULO 12. El oficial 110 (i- vulgari, ni por niigiiit iinmedio revelarn a gobierno extranjero al- guno, o a persona alguna, ningin secreto o asunto confidencial que pucda llegar a su conocimiento, ya sea como consecuencia natural de sus funciones o en cualquiera otra forma, entendiendose que continuara respetandose este re- quisito aun despdes de la expira- ci6n o cancelaci6n del presente Acuerdo o de cualquiera pr6rroga del mismo. ARTICULO 13. Durante toda la vigencia de este Acuerdo, el oficial tendra derecho a los beneficios que los reglamentos del Ej6rcito gua- temalteco otorgan a los oficiales de este grado en el Ejercito guate- malteco.
