AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOV- ERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUB- LIC OF PARAGUAY In conformity with the request of the Government of the Repub- lic of Paraguay to the Government of the United States of America, the President of the United States of America has authorized the ap- pointment of officers of the United States Army to constitute a Mili- tary Mission to the Republic of Paraguay under the conditions specified below: TITLE I Purpose and Duration ARTICLE 1. The purpose of this Mission is to cooperate with the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Para- guay and to serve as instructors at the Paraguayan Superior School of War and for such other purposes as may be agreed upon by the Chief of the Mission and the Com- mander in Chief of the Armed Forces. ARTICLE 2. This Mission shall continue for a period of four years from the date of the signing of this Agreement by the accredited representatives of the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Re- public of Paraguay, unless previ- ously terminated, or extended as hereinafter provided. El prop6sito de esta Misi6n es cooperar con el Comandante en Jefe de las Fuer- zas Armadas de la Repfiblica del Paraguay, servir de instructores en la Escuela Superior de Guerra y prestar cualesquiera otros ser- vicios que acuerden el Jefe de la Misi6n y el Comandante en Jefe de las Fuerzas Armadas. ARTICULO 2.
