Department of Labor Appropriation Act, 1964.

AN ACT Making appropriations for the Departments of Labor, and Healtli, Education, and Welfare, and related agencies, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1964, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled.. That the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the Departments of Labor, and Health, Education, and Welfare, and related agencies, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1964, namely: TITLE I—DEPARTMENT OF LABOR BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS SALARIES A N O E X P E N S E S

For expenses, not otherwise provided for, necessary for the work of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, including advances or reimbursement to State, Federal, and local agencies and their employees for services rendered, $16,345,000. REVISION OF THE C O N S U M E R P R I C E I N D E X

For expenses necessary to enable the Bureau of Labor Statistics to revise the Consumer Price Index, including not to exceed $250,000 for temporary employees at rates to be fixed by the Secretary of Labor (but not to exceed a rate equivalent to that for general schedule grade 9) without regard to the civil service laws and Classification Act of 1949, as amended, $1,320,000. For expenses necessary for the conduct of international labor affairs, $842,000. OFFICE or MANPOWER, AUTOMATION AND TRAINING M A N P O W E R DEVELOPMENT A N D T R A I N I N G ACTIVITIES
