NATIONAL FOUNDATION ON THE ARTS AND THE HUMANITIES SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For expenses necessary to carry out the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965, as amended, $13,790,000, of H sta^ 845. which $4,250,000 shall be available until expended to the National note. Endowment for the Arts for the support of projects and productions in the arts through assistance to groups and individuals pursuant to section 5(c) of the Act and for support of the functions of the National Council on the Arts set forth in Public Law 88-579; $2,000,000 H st^^- ^^^ shall be available until expended to the National Endowment for the note. Arts for assistance pursuant to Section 5(h) of the Act; $6,050,000 shall be available until expended to the National Endowment for the Humanities for support of activities in the humanities pursuant to section 7(c) of the Act; and $1,490,000 shall be available for administering the provisions of the Act: Provided, That in addition, there is appropriated in accordance with the authorization contained in section 11(b) of the Act, to remain available until expended, amounts equal to the total amounts of gifts, bequests, and devises of money, and other property received by each Endowment during the current and preceding fiscal years, under the provisions of section 10(a)(2) of the Act, for which equal amounts have not previously been appropriated, but not to exceed a total of $2,000,000: Provided further, That not to exceed 3 percent of the funds appropriated to the National Endowment for the Arts for the purposes of sections 5(c), 5(h) and functions under Public Law 88-579 and not to exceed 3 percent of the funds appropriated to the National Endowment for the Humanities for the purposes of section 7(c) shall be available for program . development and evaluation. PUBLIC LAND LAW REVIEW COMMISSION SALARIES A N D EXPENSES
For necessary expenses of the Public Land Law Eeview Commission, established by Public Law 88-606, approved September 19, 1964, \l stau 982^._ including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, and not to exceed MOO. $750 for official reception and representation expenses, $922,000, to ^o Stat. 4i6. remain available until expended. SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION SALARIES A N D EXPENSES
For necessary expenses of the Smithsonian Institution, including research; preservation, exhibition, and increase of collections from Government and other sources; international exchanges; anthropological research; maintenance of the Astrophysical Observatory and making necessary observations in high altitudes; administration of the National Collection of Fine Arts and the National Portrait Gallery; not to exceed $200,000 for necessary expenses of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; including not to exceed $100,000 for services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; purchase or rental of two passenger motor vehicles; purchase, repair, and cleaning of uniforms
