PUBLIC LAW 97-253—SEPT. 8, 1982 "(B) is considered in need of regular aid and attendance or permanently housebound under such title; "(5) is a surviving spouse of a veteran and— "(A) is considered in need of regular aid and attendance or permanently housebound under title 38, United States Code; or "(B) is entitled to compensation for a service-connected death or pension benefits for a non-service-connected death under title 38, United States Code, and has a disability considered permanent under section 221(i) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 421(i)); or "(6) is a child of a veteran and— "(A) is considered permanently incapable of self-support under section 414 of title 38, United States Code; or "(B) is entitled to compensation for a service-connected death or pension benefits for a non-service-connected death under title 38, United States Code, and has a disability considered permanent under section 221(i) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 421(i)).". (b) The first sentence of section 3(i) (7 U.S.C. 2012(i)) is amended by striking out "sixty" and all that follows through the end of the sentence and inserting in lieu thereof "an elderly or disabled member.". (c) Section 5(c)(2) (as amended by section 146(a) of this Act) is amended by striking out "a member who is" and all that follows through "(42 U.S.C. 301 et seq.)" and inserting in lieu thereof "an elderly or disabled member". (d) Section 5(e) (7 U.S.C. 2014(e)) (as amended by section 146(b) of this Act) is amended by— (1) in the first sentence, striking out "a member who is" and all that follows through "(42 U.S.C. 301 et seq.)" and inserting in lieu thereof "an elderly or disabled member"; (2) in the fourth sentence, striking out "a member" and all that follows through "titles I, II, X, XIV, and XVI of the Social Security Act" and inserting in lieu thereof "an elderly or disabled member"; and (3) in the last sentence— (A) in the matter preceding subclause (A), striking out "a member" and all that follows through "titles I, II, X, XIV, and XVI of the Social Security Act" and inserting in lieu thereof "an elderly or disabled member"; and (B) in subclause (A), striking out "household members" and all that follows through "titles I, II, X, XIV, and XVI of the Social Security Act" and inserting in lieu thereof "elderly or disabled members". (e) The first sentence of section 6(c)(1) (7 U.S.C. 2015(c)(1)) is amended by striking out "sixty" and all that follows through "titles I, II, X, XIV, and XVI of the Social Security Act" and inserting in lieu thereof "elderly or disabled members".
