Molge vulgaris, Linn. The species is abundant, both in stagnant pools and in the woods, according to the particular stage of its life history. 5. Palmated Newt. Molge palmata, Schn. Though not very common this species is found along with the other newts, and the writer has captured all three from the same pond. 129
