THELEN, Fanny J. Bayrhoffer (Mrs. E.), born November 15, 1856, in Monroe, Wisconsin, daughter of Professor Charles Theodore and Charlotte Elisabeth Draz Bayrhoffer, a resident of California for 40 years. Married to Edmund Thelen. Children: Max, Paul, Rolf. Member of Library Board; authorized press correspondent for same; former member, Board of Directors, San Diego Community Service. Taught school at one time. For three years president of San Diego Children's Home. Member of Women's Committee of Panama-California International Exposition. Member of San Diego Co. Woman's Board of State and National Defense. Received Red Cross Medals for services during the war; visits Naval Hospital every week and brings gifts to veterans and service-men.
