Active in civic and club affairs. Member, Library Board. Served on Near East Relief by appointment of President Harding. Former president of various clubs. Married to Fred W. Cooney. Children: Sayre, Robert, Ted. Artist. Illustrator of children's stories since 1898, under signature of F. Y. Cory. At present devoting time to a one column comic entitled "Sonnysayings," appearing in many newspapers throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and Scotland, under the name of Fanny Y. Cory.
