1659 WILL OF LUKE JOHNSON  Planter of Virginia   Principal Probate Registry Will Register Books, PELL-350 Library of Virginia Index of Wills, PCC, 1657-1660 Vol. VIII, 344   His executors to pay his funeral charges if they do not exceed 20 marks.   To his uncle, John Turton, of West Bromwich Co., Stafford, gent., and to James Carie, citizen and salter of London, his executors, 20s apeice to buy a ring.   To Elizabeth, wife of James Carie, 20s, to his friends Mr. John Banester and Elizabeth his wife, 40s, for each to buy a ring.   To his godson, John Banister, son of John Banister of York River in Virginia, planter,one cow.   To his godson, Robert Bryen, son of Robert Bryen of Virginia, planter, one cow.   The rest of his estate in England, Virginia and elsewhere to his wife Anne Johnson.
