I just wanted to note why I made the correction I did in adding gaps to reproduce the layout of split lines on the page. Byron is writing in blank verse (unrhymed iambic pentameter), but he likes to divide a single line between the speeches of several characters. The gaps on the page indicate the structure of the full line of verse when the characters' speeches don't line up with it cleanly. Palambron (talk) 21:40, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
