These two volumes of poetry (both simply called 'Poems') have been treated as if they were intended to be one work, although it is not completely clear that this is the case. The first volume was published in 1797 with a subtitle of 'Volume the First'; the transcription is of the third edition, dated 1799. The second volume was published in 1799, with a subtitle of 'The Second Volume', and the transcription is of the first edition.
