Hello. I have been studying the history of Patrick Hamilton as a member of the congregation of Fearn Abbey in Ross-shire. I wish to make a few corrections to this article.

1. Patrick’s mother’s name was not Catherine, but Margaret Stewart, as written in the Kalendar of Fearn Abbey held at Dunrobin Castle in Sutherland.

2. Patrick was Abbott of Fearn Abbey in Ross-shire and not ‘Feme’ Abbey.

3. When Patrick’s father was killed in the ‘Cleansing of the Causeway’, Patrick did not become an orphan.

4. Patrick’s mother, Margaret, went on to marry Sir David Ross, Earl of Balnagown Castle in Ross-shire 2A00:23C6:C08B:1301:341C:6970:FB14:D949 21:54, 22 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
