Mason's mother was actually called Mary (née Wild) and died when he was about 10 months old in December 1725; her tomb slab is in Hull Minster. Sarah Haynes, the widowed Mrs Trippett, named in the article, was the first of his two stepmothers. Silverwhistle (talk) 21:22, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
