Talk:John Quincy Adams's Inaugural Address

Shouldn't this be John Quincy Adams' Inaugural Address? (No extra S?) Jengod (talk) 21:55, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The general rule (according to the Chicago Manual of Style, 7.17-18) is that all nouns, even those ending in s, get an apostrophe and another s to make the possessive. There are a few exceptions, but names like Adams aren't one of them. --Spangineerwp (háblame) 02:35, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
