I haven't been able to confirm the original publication of this particular poem. However, it was included in the 1869 collection Under the Willows, which would date it to 1869. It was likely first printed earlier, but this is the date I'll use for now. --Midnightdreary (talk) 15:31, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
